First Church wants to make a lasting difference in your life, in our community, and in the world. How do we go about that? By creating a church where broken lives are made whole through the power of Jesus Christ. That’s the driving vision behind everything we do.
We want to help you get to know God better and enable you to become who He’s created you to be. No matter where you are in life, we’ll help you figure out some next steps in your journey with Him. It could start with volunteering, participating in a discipleship class, taking some Bible studies, giving, or attending church regularly. Along the way, we hope to work with you to make our community a better place.

Common Questions

What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at First Church, you’ll find a relaxed and friendly, family-oriented atmosphere with vibrant praise and worship and a relevant, easy-to-understand message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and through our KidzFirst and Youth programs.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

At First Church, we recognize our visitors with prayer. If you would like to stand when we welcome visitors, the church leadership will gladly say a prayer of blessing over you. You will also receive a Welcome Card that you can take to the Information Desk for a welcome gift.

What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because First Church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Do you have a Midweek Service?

Yes! We have a dynamic mid-week service which focuses on prayer, worship and Bible study each Wednesday. If mornings are best for you, visit with us at 6am for Morning Prayer Meeting. If you want to take a break for lunch, stop by for Mid-day Prayer Meeting at 12 noon. If you prefer an end of day wind down, join us for Evening Prayer and Bible Study at 7pm. There are many opportunities to connect.

What about my children?

At First Church, children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. Our mother’s room is also available for your family to sit together and hear the service. Our KidzFirst Sabbath School program caters to children from infant through Elementary. And the Youth Ministry team has a private Youth service, by youth, focused on youth. Come explore the many opportunities for children to bloom at First Church.

How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to plug in. You can begin by completing a Next Steps survey or attending a Sabbath School class. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
